Hmm... poor little girl...

It seems she's always being seduced by that dastardly suave mazoku, isn't she? Well not to worry my darlings, I'm going to let Filia have her revenge in this fanfiction. Yes, you know what Xelloss just did to her will change her life.

Enter Filia, the cynic...

The Stag of Stags...

Filia smirked a cold little smile to herself as she placed yet another diamond ring in her case. The case was a special one, a sort of shrine if you will. It was a large ebony trunk lined with purple silk. In a dark way the design was not so unlike that of a coffin. Her smirk widened at that thought.

...Yes a coffin, that was exactly what it was...

Thirty-eight years had passed since her... first time. She chuckled dryly in memory. After Xelloss had left, she had cried until she had no tears left. Once they were gone they had never returned, not for him or for anyone or anything else.

She had got out of bed after her sobs had ceased and had burned the clothes she had been wearing, as well as the bloodied sheets, in the fireplace. Then, she had taken a long bath.

As she lay submerged in the warm waters, a single cold realization had crossed her mind...

...turnabout is fair play...

A dark smile had crossed her lips as a plan had begun to form in her mind that cruel morning. And now, nearly four hundred marriage proposals later, her plan was finally nearing its fruition.

Filia sighed softly as she latched the trunk, brushing her hair away from her short blue sundress. Lina Gabriev, formerly Lina Inverse, her dear friend and comrade had passed away. If Filia had been capable of feeling sorrow, she would have broken down into tears when the news reached her yesterday. Cynical as she had become, she had simply smirked at the irony of one of the most powerful sorceresses of the century being slain by such a simple foe as pneumonia.

More importantly to Filia however, Xelloss would be attending the funeral as he had had a bit of a thing for Lina... well for her power at least. Certainly word of Filia's many suitors would have reached his ears by now. She would be ever so disappointed if they hadn't! After all, she had tried SO hard!

Humans, dragons, and even Lord Dynast himself, had asked for her hand in marriage. It really had been quite a simple task to become so sought after. All she had to do was ask Zelgadiss, who had been having his own problems with Xelloss at the time, to paint a very special portrait of her.

The portrait had been entitled "Essence of Prey". It held four frames painted on black canvas, each depicting the same forest meadow during a different season. The first frame depicted summer, unlike the others however, it also depicted Filia sitting on the green grass in the open meadow wearing only a deep red silk sheet and her headdress. In the caption she was caressing the nose of a beautiful silver stag as she gazed into its large, innocent sapphire orbs with her own. Behind her was large bush where a hungry set of amethyst shards peered out at the two of them.

She had hinted on the amount of money that could be made from taking such a painting on the road and telling of its secret story from town to town. Lina had seized the painting from her immediately as she had pulled Gourry out of the tent behind her, promising to bring the painting back in six months. Six months latter she had succeeded in the first step of her plan.

First came the lovestruck humans, with their vows and diamond rings. Never taking her eyes off her goal, she had accepted each ring, gave each of their presenters three nights of ecstasy, and then left them at the alter.

Next had come the dragons, each figuring the perfect way to spite the Beastmaster was to claim her as their own. Yet again, she took their rings, gave them only three nights, and then abandoned them.

It soon became quite clear that either Filia was incredibly choosey, or she still had yet to get over the Beastmaster. Whichever one it was didn't really matter, she now was the stag of stags. Even the mazoku race had tried their hand at wooing her. The obnoxiously large seventy-two caret blue diamond hanging off her gloved hand was proof enough of that.

Ahh... Lord Dynast! What a wonderful partner in crime he was turning out to be! And their three nights had not been that bad either!

Although...while she was loathed to admit it... not one of the three hundred and eighty-four men she'd had could even hold a candle to Xelloss. He was the best lover she had come across and this infuriated her. The hot-blooded lust that he had evoked in her that night had yet to be beaten.

She moaned softly to herself thinking about the way his tongue had caressed her naked form... the exquisite feel of pain and ecstasy he evoked when he had squeezed on her hardened nipples... the little smirk when he saw that she enjoyed it... the way their bodies had melded perfectly together...

Filia let out a shaky breath gripping the bottom of her sundress as she felt a familiar warmness spreading throughout her. With an irritated grunt she yanked the sundress over her head and threw it on the bed, heading into the bathroom. She suddenly felt very inclined to take a cold shower.
