Unexpected Actions
Disclaimer: I don’t and never will own Slayers. I’m just using them in my story so I can make them do things they never did in the series :P
Note: This story takes place after Slayers Try. Lina is now18 and Gourry is around 25, I would say (I don’t know their real ages at the end of Try.)

Chapter 1: The Story Begins
Everyday pretty much started out the same way. I would wake up, get dressed, wake that lazy bum, Gourry up and we would start on our way. Lately we've been traveling alone. Amelia has been tending to her kingdom duties and Zel, well, he's just doing his own thing as usual. He has also been visiting Amelia once in a while. Martina and Zangulus were enjoying their new lives together in her castle and ruling over Xoana. Xellos, well...who knows what he's been up to. He's probably been getting in trouble somewhere.
As for us, it's been quiet and not that eventful. We've just been going from one town to another as usual and picking up any food or items along the way. One interesting piece we had picked up the other day was this little jewel. It was emerald colored with some neat swirls inside. It was on a thin, gold, necklace and had some scripting on it that I couldn't make out. I've kept it for now since no merchants seem to know what it is or how much it's worth. Gourry thinks it's suits me. I don't know. I like wearing jewelry but it can get in the way sometimes in a battle. Not like there has been much of that going on though. So for now, I’ve kept it in my pocket.
Today was turning out to be a nice day. The sun was shining and there weren't that many clouds. Gourry and I were walking down the road towards the next town and he stopped and looked around. He then glanced down at his stomach.
He raised his arm behind his head and rubbed it. "I guess I'm a bit hungry, Lina." He chuckled. "Maybe we can stop here and eat for a bit."
"Ya, I guess you're right. I'm a bit hungry too." I said. There was a nearby tree and I figured that would be a good spot to eat. I opened up my bag and took the food out. Luckily we had leftovers from the last town we went to.
Gourry, of course, started to chow down. I, on the other hand wasn't my usual, piggish self. I don't know what was really wrong with me but something seemed to be on my mind. Ever since we went to the kingdom called, Sanaah, I've been kind of off. That was the place where we found that necklace and some other neat stuff. Once Gourry was done eating his share, he reached over to mine. He looked up at me with a shocked look when I didn't get mad at him. I'll admit, I was shocked myself.
"What's wrong, *gulp* Lina?" He asked.
"What do you mean? I'm fine. Don't worry about me."
“But you’re not eating like you usually do. Usually you’ve eaten more than me by...” He felt my fist to his chin before he was able to finish his sentence. I couldn’t let him insult me like usual. He got up and was rubbing his chin. “Well, I guess you seem ok, but still...”
“I’m just probably having one of those days. I’ll probably be fine later.”
“Maybe you’re right.” He replied as he started to pig-out again.
I folded my arms and lowered my head on top of them. I thought to myself that maybe it was just a phase but for it to be happening for more than one day in a row? I didn’t know what had come over me.
After our meal, we headed off again. Unfortunately, Gourry had eaten so much that he over filled himself.
“Lina...” He moaned. “Can we stop for a bit? I’m tired of walking.” He finished saying as he sat on the ground.
“But we’ve only been walking for an hour.” I sighed. “I guess if it’ll get you to stop complaining.” I said as I started to look around for a spot to rest. I saw a nearby pond with a couple trees that over-hung the water. It was a good place to sit with plenty of shade and it was quite nice.
He sat over by one tree and was leaning against it with his arms folded behind his head. He had his eyes shut with a slight smile on his face. The gentle breeze made his hair move across his face. Before long, he had fallen asleep.
I was looking around, looking for a spot for myself. But for some odd reason I felt like sitting next to Gourry. I stood over him and watched him for a moment. I then sat beside him, not too close though.
As the minutes went by, I found myself getting closer and closer to him. It was so slight that I didn’t notice till I was right next to him, close enough that I was touching him. My face started to glow red as I quickly moved away. It startled him a bit but not enough to make him move much. I then had a strange urge to move closer to him again. It almost felt like I wasn’t controlling myself. I felt like being right next to him wasn’t enough, I had to get closer. I got up and stood in front of him. Then I got down on my knees. I crawled towards him and inched my face closer and closer to his. My hands were on the ground on either side of him and my legs were as well. I was almost sitting on his lap. My eyes were partially closed and my breath quickened. I was so close to his face that my breath began to tickle his nose a bit.
I froze as his hand moved. He raised his hand up to scratch his nose but he still didn’t open his eyes. I was starting to think that he wasn’t asleep anymore. I remained frozen till he started to lower his hand back down. I sighed but quickly froze again. As I watched his hand slowly go back down, I also felt it rub past my thigh and butt. I tensed up but insisted on not moving, in fear of awakening him. This was beginning to get out of hand. I watched his face and he was still sleeping. I thought his hand was back down by his side but the next thing I knew, I could feel it groping my butt. I gasped and jumped up. As I stood up, my knee hit his arm and woke him up.
