Chapter 5: An Unexpected Night
I had gone downstairs to the dinning area. I pulled out on of the chairs and sat down. I then put my elbows on the table to prop up my head. Then I let out a huge sigh.’What has gotten in to me lately? This is not me. Is it that I need the physical attention or is it something else? When I do that stuff, I don’t seem to control myself.’
I then shifted on my seat a bit and felt something in my pocket. I reached in and found that necklace was still in there. I took it out and looked at the jewel. It was really pretty and I was still frustrated that I couldn’t make out the scripting. I fiddled with it for a bit and then I stood up. I walked over to one of the mirrors on the wall and stared at myself. I giggled a bit at the thought of putting it on, but then I decided to see what it would look like. I took it and placed it around my neck. I looked back into the mirror and smiled. I then heard a noise. It was Gourry. He was walking down the stairs. When he got to the bottom, I turned around to face him. As I looked at him, a strange feeling overcame me. The jewel also began to faintly glow.
I started walking over towards Gourry.
“Oh, there you are, Lina. I came down to apologize for whatever I did. Whatever I did, I didn’t mean to do it.”
“Oh, that’s ok, Gourry. Things happen.” I said as I got closer to him. I could see the clueless look on his face but I ignored it.
“So...umm...Lina...” he stuttered as he watched me.
“Yes, Gourry?” I replied as I placed my arms around his neck.
“Wha...what are you doing...Lina?” His arms flew out beside him from my contact. I could hear the nervousness in his voice.
“Oh, nothing really. It’s just a bit cold down here.” He just stood there shaking. “My, is this bothering you?” He didn’t reply. “Oh, I see how it is. You don’t like me, do you? I knew it. I knew you didn’t like me,” I lied as I pretended to cry. I kept one eye open to watch his reaction though.
“It’s not that....I....uh....uh...” He said as he began shaking.
“Then, what is it, Gourry?”
“It’s...uh...nothing...yeah....I’m just going to uh...go to...uh...my room.” He replied as he pushed my arms off and ran for the stairs. I then heard the bedroom door close.
‘How naive’ I thought to myself. Then I walked up the stairs after him. I opened the door to find him on his bed again. This time he had the sheet over him. ‘Is he honestly trying to hide?’ I laughed to myself. ‘Oh, my dear sweet, Gourry. I’ll just have to show you how I really feel about you.’ I said to myself as I waltzed over to him. I knelt down in front of him once again. I moved the sheet from his head so he could see me.
“What’s wrong, Gourry? Why are you hiding from me?”
“I’m...not hiding. I’m just...tired.”
I smirked at him and I stood up. I held my grip on the blanket and pulled the sheet completely off him and threw it to the floor.
“Well, for someone who is tired, you sure are over dressed. You even put your shirt back on.”
“I was...cold.”
“Gourry, who are you trying to fool here? You know I’m not that stupid. Now come on, Gourry. Let’s get you more comfortable.”
My first move was to sit on top of him, so he couldn’t move (well, not as easily anyway). Then I demanded him to sit up. He was so nervous that he did as I told him. I then told him to lift his arms up. Once he did, I proceeded to lifting his shirt up and over his head. His gaze never left mine. I then ran my hands down his chest. He shivered at my touch. Then I lowered my head and I blew on his right ear. I then planted a light kiss on his cheek. I felt him relax a bit but he was still shaking. I ran light kisses down his neck and onto his shoulder. I heard a low moan come from his throat. Good, he was starting to enjoy it. I stopped kissing him and I moved a bit away from him. I looked at his eyes as I began to take off my shirt. He was watching me like a hawk. My shirt fell to the floor and all that was left was my yellow shirt. I played with it a bit, to give him a bit of a tease. He gulped but kept watching.
“You like this, don’t cha?” He didn’t reply. I then leaned closer to his face, to show him some cleavage. “Oh, come on, Gourry. You can’t say you don’t want me to take it off.” I still got no reply.
He closed his eyes and tried to turn his head. I grabbed the bottom of my shirt and I slowly began to lift it. He was trying so hard not to look. I lifted it high enough to show the bottom of my breasts. He peeked but then quickly shut his eyes again. Then I lifted my shirt completely off and threw it to the floor.
“You can look now.”
He opened his eyes slightly and immediately closed them and turned his head.
“I...I...I...can’t look.” He cried as he put his hands over his face.
I gave a small chuckle then I grabbed his hands. “It’s ok, Gourry. I want you to look. I also want you to touch them, and taste them. I want you to enjoy all of this. Just relax.” I said as I slowly brought his hands towards my breasts.
The closer they got, the more he shook. He still clenched his eyes shut. I managed to get his hands about an inch from me but then he got resistant. He started to pull back. Due to his strength, I couldn’t really pull them back. His hands came loose from my grip.
‘If I can’t get him to me, I guess I’ll just have to go to him.’ I thought to myself. He was still sitting up so I leaned in and brought my breasts closer to his chest. I got so close that I could feel the heat coming off his body. I smirked and closed my eyes as I expected to make contact with his body. I did but it wasn’t what I thought. I felt his hands on my shoulders. My eyes opened up and I looked into his eyes.
“Lina, as much as I care about you, I can’t bring myself to take advantage of you. I’m sorry. You just mean too much to me.” He said as he gave a light push to get me away from his body.
I guess he didn’t realize how hard he pushed me because I started to fall off the bed. He noticed and sprang up to catch me. Instead he grabbed the necklace and the chain broke, resulting in me hitting the ground.
He sat there, dumbfounded with the necklace in his hand. “Oh my god! Lina! I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to...I....uh...” He stuttered as he jumped out of the bed and backed up towards the wall.
I raised my hands and didn’t notice Gourry shielded himself. He thought I was going to fireball him again, but instead I covered my face with my hands.
“Uh...Lina? Are you...” Gourry said as he leaned over me. He stretched out his hand to help me up but I slapped it away from me. I jumped up, grabbed my yellow shirt and ran towards the door. I put my shirt on, then ran out of the room and towards the bathroom.
I slammed the door shut and sat on the chair by the water basin. I bowed my head and placed my hands on the top of my head. ‘What have I done? Why did I do such a thing? Why couldn’t I stop? What the hell is happening to me?!!!!’ I thought over and over.
I only stopped when I felt something wet run down my cheek. I raised my hand up to touch it, to find it was a tear. I was crying? Why was I crying? Was it because of what I did, or was it something else? Then I raised my head up and looked in the mirror. Gourry’s words rang in my head. He said he cared about me too much to be able to take advantage of me. Is that how he really felt? I smiled at the thought of him having feelings for me. I even blushed.
I grabbed the nearby cloth and washed my face off. I looked into the mirror again and my eyes were still red. I shrugged it off and left the bathroom to go back to my room.
Once inside the room, I looked around. It was pretty dark except for the dim candle light coming from the table. I looked over there, to find Gourry sitting in the chair. He was slouched over onto the table, propping his head up with his hands. I didn’t think he heard me enter but as I stepped over to my bed, I heard him call my name.
“Lina...are you ok?” He said in a low, quiet voice.
“Ya, I think so.” I replied as I sat on the side of the bed, to not face him.
“Lina...you really scared me there.”
“How so?” My curiosity grew and I looked over at him.
“You just didn’t seem like yourself. I don’t know what happened but it scared me to look at your eyes.” He continued, without looking at me.
I looked back at the ground. I scared him? Oh, boy...
“Goodnight...Lina.” He said softly as he stood up and walked towards his bed.
I was about to speak, but I didn’t know what to say. What can you say after all that? I felt a huge shiver go down my back as I watched him disappear to the other side of the room. I layed down on my bed and went under the covers. The tears started to roll down the side of my face again but I was too exhausted to care as I soon fell asleep.
